Dr. Adrian Baranchuk
Queen's University
Dr. Baranchuk, a Professor of Medicine at Queen’s University, is a renowned expert in cardiac electrophysiology and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Electrocardiology. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, he has authored over 850 publications and 13 books, advancing research on cardiac arrhythmias, sleep apnea, and electrocardiology. He serves as President of the Interamerican Society of Cardiology and President-Elect of the International Society of Electrocardiology. Dr. Baranchuk is celebrated for his teaching excellence, leadership in cardiology, and contributions to international research collaborations​.
Dr. Hans Katzberg
University of Toronto
Dr. Katzberg is a Clinical Investigator at the Krembil Brain Institute and staff neurologist at the University Health Network in Toronto. He is also a Professor of Medicine and Associate Member of the Institute for Medical Sciences and Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on advancing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for neuromuscular diseases, particularly peripheral neuropathy, motor nerve hyperexcitability and neuromuscular junction disorders including myasthenia gravis. He emigrated to Canada from Peru in 1990 and has been an advocate for Latin representation in Canadian medicine for over 20 years.

Dr. Victor Neira
Dalhousie University
Dr. Neira is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Dalhousie University. He received his titles of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery at the Universidad Javeriana, Anesthesiologist at El Rosario University, and Cardiac Anesthesia Sub-Specialty at Central Military Hospital in Bogota-Columbia. With the collaboration of the Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital in Gothenburg (Sweden) he contributed to establishing the pediatric Cardiac Surgery service at the Fundacion Cardiovascular de Colombia, where he worked as Pediatric/Adult Cardiac Anesthesiologists, and was chief of Anesthesia and the Operating Rooms. He moved to Canada to pursue a Clinical Cardiac Anesthesia and Transesophageal Fellowship at McMaster University, and after that a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at the University of Ottawa. He also performed a Master in Arts and Education at the University of Ottawa. He is certified in Advance Perioperative Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography.   He is currently staff Cardiac Anesthesiologists and Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship Coordinator at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, NS.
